There are 552 windows. It took four and a half months to install them and there are only two left to be installed. The brick veneer will be complete on Tuesday, with 55 feet to go. The bricklayers will then be going around the building and cleaning the brick. Trim & siding is almost complete. Shingling will be complete within the next two weeks. Next week casework will begin.
There were 109 workers on site that day. On the West wing, second floor there are 13 rooms that are painted, with 12 more to be completed by Wednesday. Dry walling is taking place on the first floor of area A. All dry walling will be complete by the first week in May.
In three weeks, cement walkways will begin being poured and loam spread.
There was a resident who asked about noise barriers between rooms. Chris responded that noise is often transmitted through the outlet and baseboard areas of a wall. To decrease the sound, caulking has been put at the bottom of the wall and a board has been put in the wall between the outlets.
